Rochester, MN UCC - Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!  I pray that the story of the unlikely Savior’s birth will speak to your heart this frigid Christmas. The Christ child was born in mean circumstances in the cold, born away from home due to the commands of an emperor who was unconcerned with the needs and lives of the people who ruled over them. Out of this came the savior of the world, bringing light into a world that desperately needed it. In these short, dark days may we all be grateful for the warmth and shelter we have and pray for those who, like the Christ child, face a much harsher world. Be safe and be blessed.
