This workshop will be run by Rev. Moussa Foster and Robert Morris. Rev. Moussa is a UCC minister, with a Master’s in the History of African Peoples from The University of Minnesota and extensive teaching and writing experience. Robert Morris is a renowned choral director and musician. These two men will be teaching about the genesis of the African American Spiritual as a form of resistance to American slavery and their continued use in Christian movements for liberation and racial equality. This promises to be an exceptional event with fantastic music and deep learning. A meal will be served at the end. All ages are welcome and encouraged to attend. RSVP to church@congoroch.org.
