Ministry Team
for Stewardship and Benevolence
The Ministry team for Stewardship and Benevolence is responsible for
planning and administering the stewardship and benevolence activities of
the church. The plans, methods, and efforts of this ministry team will
raise the consciousness of the congregation about the importance of
stewardship and the benefit of benevolence to the Christian life and the
life of the church. Each year the ministry team shall provide one or
more Adult Education opportunities coordinated through the Cabinet
relating to stewardship and benevolence. Two other major
responsibilities and activities of the ministry team are the following:
1. Develop a plan each year for prioritizing and distributing
designated benevolent funds to qualified charitable organizations
locally, nationally, and internationally.
2. Once the annual budget has been developed, create a Stewardship
campaign based on the church's needs for the upcoming year. A theme for
the campaign will be agreed upon by all the ministry teams and approved
by the Cabinet.
This ministry team is one of the ways that our church makes a difference
in the community.
All members are welcome to attend the Ministry Team's meetings, which
are regularly held on the first Tuesday of the month at 6 PM. Please
call the church office to confirm the date and time of the meeting as
rescheduling is sometimes necessary.
